Why I Started 3rd Space Bucharest: Building Real Connections in a Digital World

Why-I-Started-3rd-Space-Bucharest-Building-Real-Connections-in-a-Digital-World

Building in person connections in the digital age is hard. Think about it. The average person spends 153 minutes a day on social media. That's roughly 35% of one's daily time. And many people work from home.

Which means if you want to develop in real life connections, you have to intentionally find them or create the space for them.

The Idea

That's the idea behind my new project: 3rd Space Bucharest.

They are monthly small curated cocktail parties where:

  • 25 interesting creatives, founders, expats gather
  • Icebreakers make conversations easy
  • Guests share short "mini-TED talks"
  • People mingle without pressure

What It's Not

Not boring networking. Not dating.

Just a relaxed atmosphere designed for real conversation.

Because in person events are better than time spent scrolling.
